Typhoon Ketsana was the second most devastating tropical cyclone of the 2009 Pacific typhoon season, bringing 455mm of rain to the Philippines over a 24 hour period on September 26, before moving on to hit Vietnam in the mid-afternoon of September 29, south of Danang. The typhoon claimed 163 lives in Vietnam, and displaced countless more.
