Beneficiaries: 2,301 villagers from 574 households
Problem(s):
- Because of their unfavourable geographical location, the villages in Dong Feng Township suffered from a shortage of potable water
- The dried up water table affected hygiene, healthcare and farming
Intervention and Impact
- Provided 574 new wells with an average daily volume of 3m3 of water each. Water is supplied to households through a new piping system
- Access to water makes farming and agricultural activities possible, creating new ways for the villagers to generate income
