Beneficiaries: 45 language teachers, 4,500 students
Problem(s)
- English language was not being properly or regularly taught at all schools
- Teachers had limited resources to teach the language
Intervention and Impact
- Trained teachers in the teaching approaches and guidelines recommended by Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). They now use the method to conduct their lessons and instil confidence in their students
- Conducted a workshop for the teachers to provide feedback on the programme so that it can be further improved and tailored to their needs
